Won but payout not received
Normal delays
- Kalshi: typically 24–48 hours after market resolution
- Coinbase Predictions (via Kalshi): Coinbase display can lag Kalshi settlement by hours — wait 24 h before escalating
- Robinhood & Webull (via Kalshi): same 24–48 h window
- Complex markets (election markets, regulatory events) may take up to 5 business days
When to escalate
- No payout 48 h after market shows “Resolved”
- Balance still wrong after 5 business days
- No email confirmation of resolution received

Balance showing wrong or negative
- 1Internal sub-account display
Coinbase Predictions uses an internal sub-account. Your main Coinbase balance vs your trading balance may show different numbers during balance sweeps.
- 2Negative numbers are not a debt
A negative number during a sweep is a temporary UI state while funds move between sub-accounts. It does not mean you owe money.
- 3If persists over 24 hours
Screenshot both balances with timestamps and open a Coinbase support ticket. Kalshi cannot fix Coinbase display issues — contact Coinbase directly.
- 4Won a market but balance unchanged
Wait 48 hours from the resolution timestamp before escalating. If still missing after 48 h, contact Coinbase support with your winning trade details.

Know Your Rights
Kalshi (CFTC-regulated DCM + DCO (Designated Contract Market and Derivatives Clearing Organization)), along with Coinbase Predictions (powered by Kalshi), FanDuel Predicts, and DraftKings are CFTC-regulated. This means they must:
- Hold customer funds in segregated accounts separate from company operating funds
- Respond to CFTC complaints
- Maintain records accessible to regulators
Filing a CFTC complaint: cftc.gov/complaint — free, no lawyer required. The CFTC cannot directly retrieve your money, but a complaint creates an official record and typically triggers a human review at the platform.
Polymarket operates through QCX LLC (d/b/a Polymarket US, CFTC DCM via QCX LLC) and is structured differently. Contact Polymarket support directly for Polymarket-specific withdrawal issues.
