Pro Football: New Team announced outside the United States by 2026-27 season end?

About This Market

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the National Football League (NFL) officially announces the addition of a new team — whether through league expansion or the relocation of an existing franchise — whose official home market is located outside of the United States (inclusive of its territories), on or before February 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET (the end of the 2026-27 NFL season). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". An official announcement will suffice for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of if or when the team actually begins play. The announcement must be made through the NFL's official channels or by an authorized NFL representative, such as the Commissioner or a vote of NFL ownership. The hosting of international regular-season or preseason games outside the United States (for example, in London, Munich, Mexico City, or São Paulo) does not qualify — the team's official home market must be located outside the United States. The primary resolution source will be official announcements from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
